Media and Film studies

The Media and Film Studies course trains students to read and understand the audio- visual languages of modern media and new technologies and the anlayze images from different perspectives.

It familiarizes students with the history theory and art of cinema and the other media.

The course offerings are complemented by film and video screenings. The Media and Film Studies, in co-operation with other groups regularly invite filmmakers, screen-writers technicians and critics to the campus to share their views experiences and perspectives with the students.

We live in a world in which we are surrounded by images. The media greatly influence our sense of who we are and how we live. The sights and sounds of film, T.V, video, advertisement and new technologies are so pervasive and in many cases so enjoyable that we rarely pause to consider how the act upon us and how we interact with them.
