CA Professional Education I (C. A. PE-II)
Eligibility for Admission
- Pass in the C. A. Foundation Examination
- Pass in the Professional Education - I Examination
- Pass in the Final Examinations conducted by ICWAI or ICSI
- Commerce Graduates: Minimum 50% of total marks.
- Non-commerce Graduates (with mathematics): Minimum 60% of total marks.
- Non-commerce Graduates (without mathematics): Minimum 55% of total marks.
Registration for the PE-II Course
Candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements and who like to register with the board of studies as students of the PE-II Course have to forward their applications in the prescribed form together with the necessary fees by demand draft to the ICAI Office, Chennai.
Provisional Registration
Candidates who have passed the second year of graduation exam are eligible to appear in the final year graduation examination within 6 months, such students pursuing third year of graduation, will have to give a declaration of their intention to appear in the final year of graduation exam within the aforesaid period of six months.
The provisional registration will be confirmed only on submission of proof of passing the concerned exams, within the following time limits.
In case of candidates who have appeared in final year graduation examination, within six months of appearing in such examination. Further in the case of a candidate passing the final year graduation examination, minimum specified marks should be secured. (See Eligibility of Admission)

PE-II Examination
The PE-II Examination will be held in May and November every year. A candidate can appear for the examination after satisfactory compliance with the requirements of the Board of Studies and on completion of 10 months from the date of registration.
Coaching Classes
Only those who have registered with the ICAI will be admitted for the coaching classes for the PE-II course.
Class timing
The coaching classes will normally be held from 9 am to 4 pm on all Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays from September to June

Caution deposit will be refunded at the end of the course.
Fees have to be paid in one lump sum. Fees once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
Eligibility certificate and exemption.
Students attending coaching classes will be exempted from answering test papers under the postal tuition scheme. However, they will have to satisfy the requirements of minimum attendance of 75% of the classes in each subject and secure a minimum of 40% marks in the final tests in each subject conducted by such accredited institutions.
The board of studies will issue eligibility certificates for appearing in the PE-II Examination to those who satisfy the requirements.
