B.Sc Vocational Chemistry (Heavy and Fine Chemicals) – 6 semesters
Chemistry (Main), Mathematics (Subsidiary 1), Heavy and Fine Chemicals (Subsidiary 2).
Many of our graduates find employment in these areas working in fields such as drug development, the formulation of medicines, the design of catalysts, the production of high performance materials and fine chemicals. Some examples of graduate destinations include Spices Board, MRF and Coca- Cola.
Our students’ training in the use of sophisticated modern instrumentation serves them particularly well, for example, for work in quality control across a wide range of industries, public laboratories or in environmental monitoring.
Beyond industry, employers also recognise a degree in Chemistry as an excellent starting point for many different career paths.
Many of our chemistry graduates go on to train as teachers or stay on to do further research at the MSc or PhD level.
